How we work

Individual therapy is a series of regular, confidential sessions between you and me. In the first sessions we talk about what brought you to therapy, where your life is right now and what you hope to get out of it.

Then we agree on a way of working together. In sessions we try to make sense of your experiences, your feelings and the patterns that keep repeating, and we talk about small steps you can try in daily life. I choose the methods I use based on what you need.

We regularly check in on how you're feeling and where we've got to. If something doesn't feel right to you, talking about that is part of the process too. Sessions can be in person or online.

FAQ

I don't know what to talk about. Can I still come?

Of course. Many people come to their first session not knowing what to say. We'll find a place to start together.

What age group is individual therapy for?

My individual therapy sessions are for adults aged 18 and over.

Can I stop therapy whenever I want?

Yes. Whether you continue is always your decision. When you want to finish, a final session to wrap things up together is often helpful.
